## FAQ

### What does a professional painter typically do?

Professional painters prepare surfaces and apply coatings to help refresh, protect, or transform interior and exterior spaces. Their work may include assessing the surfaces, selecting suitable application methods, and creating a clean, consistent finish.

### Why is surface preparation important?

Proper preparation helps create a sound foundation for the paint and can improve the overall appearance of the finished work. It may involve cleaning, repairing, sanding, or priming surfaces as appropriate for the project.

### How can I choose the right colors for my space?

Color choices can be guided by the room's lighting, existing finishes, intended atmosphere, and the way the space will be used. A professional painter can help you think through these factors and narrow your options while keeping the overall design cohesive.

### Can professional painting help protect surfaces?

Yes, suitable paint and careful application can add a protective layer to many surfaces against everyday wear and environmental exposure. The right approach depends on the material, location, condition, and purpose of the surface.

### What should I look for when hiring a painter?

Look for clear communication, careful attention to preparation, respect for the property, and a willingness to understand your goals. A professional approach should make the process easier to understand and help ensure the work is planned around the needs of your space.
